D.J. Joyce joined National Realty Network to utilize his skills of analytical analysis and competence in the commercial real estate arena. His 20 years of experience in real estate have taken him from coast to coast, working on such diverse aspects as design, development, construction, sales and operations of numerous commercial properties.
Having a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Mr. Joyce has performed in many capacities. He has developed business plans and financial models for owners, lenders, analysts and investors, once resulting in the funding and sale of corporate real estate holdings in excess of $750 million. He has performed feasibility studies and due diligence for acquisitions and participated in strategic planning, land use, financial and portfolio analysis for a multitude of projects. Holding the positions of financial manager and construction controller for two large development companies, DJ has directed job cost systems for multi-entity businesses with capital expenditures in excess of $50 million and created and maintained an inventory portfolio which resulted in an asset valuation used for a proposed $1 billion IPO. He has also overseen transaction management and established and maintained capital expenditure, operations and owners association budgets.
DJ considers real estate his calling and has enjoyed his participation in the development, sales and operations of projects ranging from land, golf course communities and facilities, single and multi-family residential, condo/hotel, retail and high rise condominiums.
Mr. Joyce, a Chicago native, holds the designation of Illinois Real Estate Broker and is member of the North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors and the Illinois CPA Society.
DJ is active in fundraising for the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization and various others. He was also instrumental in founding the Cathy Joyce Endowment for the Arts in Solana Beach, CA and its continued support.
